We are looking for suitable candidates for the position of Associate Engineer -Cybersecurity and would prefer an individual with:
- 1+ Years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer/Trainee in a SOC environment or similar
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity/computer science or equivalent
- Familiar with one or several EDR/XDR platforms (e.g. CrowdStrike/Cybereason/Sophos)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to prioritize, evaluate, investigate, and resolve security incidents and alerts effectively within the defined time frame.
- Familiarity with Malware analysis
- Experience using a SIEM Platform
- Fair knowledge about Security Compliance Modules (ISO 27001/NIST)
- Ability to work independently to solve complex problems with minimal oversight.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Industry certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISA (Certified SOC Analyst) would be an added advantage.
Your responsibilities would be:
- Analyzing security event data arising from the activity of customers with the goal of detecting malicious activity.
- Investigating security alerts and incidents generated by security tooling within DBT, resolving or escalating as appropriate.
- Collaborating with the cybersecurity team and other IT departments to coordinate response efforts.
- Scheduling and monitoring the web application vulnerability scans for the respective clients according to their requirements and sharing the scan reports upon successful completion.
- Participating in the threat hunting process practiced by the SOC team.
- Documenting technical issues identified during security assessments and incidents and writing reports.
