Head of IT Infrastructure & Security
Full-Time - On Location (Colombo)
PayMedia is a fast-growing software development company specializing in financial technology solutions. Our Wallet Services Platform empowers individuals and businesses with digital wallet functionalities, including payments, remittances, and financial management. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and growth of our Wallet Services Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of secure IT infrastructure for both cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premise environments.
- Collaborate with the development team to define secure architecture sizing, ensuring that all systems are both scalable and secure.
- Drive security initiatives to integrate security best practices across infrastructure, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and other regulatory standards.
- Set up, manage, and secure Kubernetes environments for both on-premise and cloud deployments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Oversee the implementation of cloud-native security practices for applications and infrastructure, ensuring security controls are embedded across the SDLC.
- Manage security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery planning across IT infrastructure.
- Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure and security professionals, creating a proactive, security-first culture within IT teams.
- Ensure continuous improvement in IT operations, focusing on automation, security resilience, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with financial regulations.
- Monitor and enforce security policies, processes, and standards to protect systems and sensitive data.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management with a strong focus on security, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in securing cloud-based infrastructure and managing on-premise IT environments.
- Experience in Kubernetes setup, configuration, and management for both cloud and on-premise environments.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools, security frameworks, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Deep understanding of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and other central bank regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven experience collaborating with development teams to size and design secure architectures that meet scalability and security needs.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of driving security initiatives and fostering a proactive security culture.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
