Factory Accountant
Trincomalee Factory
Responsibilities:
- Prepare & submit monthly department accounts & Management reports
- Ensure all supporting workings are prepared for payments while maintaining accuracy
- Review of purchase prices for reasonability
- Prepare/review fixed assets, Balance Sheet schedules and inventory spares
- Review of monthly stock count and variance analysis
- Review of the team's performance and KPIs
- Preparation of job costing and department costing reports
- Assisting in Internal and External audit
- Monitoring and ensuring Contract Labour payments are processed on time
- Preparation of salaries (Executive level) / reviewing of Non Executive level salaries / handle Gratuity payments
- Administration of M3 system activities & other finance operations
- Assisting to any ad-hoc requests from the Management
Requirements:
- Fully qualified or a passed finalist of CASL/CIMA/ACCA and in possession a Degree in Accounting/Finance from a recognized university
- Have minimum 3 years of experience in auditing/accounting/finance, preferably in manufacturing industry
- Be a good team player with discipline and structured work approach
- Have the ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude and with minimum supervision to achieve strict monthly targets/ KPI's
- Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills with excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
- Exposure in computerized accounting packages and ERP systems will be an added advantage
