Quality Assurance Engineer


We are looking for passionate candidates to join the Sri Lankan operations of an Australian-based cutting-edge Technology Company serving both government and private organizations in Australia and New Zealand.

This is full-time employment with the possibility to join the permanent carder based on your performance. We offer an attractive package and flexibility of working from home (maintaining social distancing to stay safe and healthy as well as saving commuting time and cost).

Self-motivated, energetic, creative individuals who can work with minimal supervision and produce high-quality results.


Skill Requirements:

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality.

Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test scripts, and test documentation.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing for web, desktop and mobile applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects.
  • Using testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, Postman, or similar for automation and API testing will be an added advantage.
  • Track, report, and manage defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Support the development of test automation frameworks and increase test coverage will be an added advantage.
  • Understand and apply Agile methodologies in a QA environment.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and project goals.
  • Communicate effectively with developers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Monitor all testing activities, driving accountability with appropriate KPIs for outstanding results.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze complex situations and provide efficient 'think out of the box' solutions.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Ramp up the new/junior team members with required Knowledge Transfers


Beneficial Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience while testing activities in complex environments.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT
  • Over 1 year of hands-on experience in Software Automation, including design, development, and implementation of automated tests will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies and testing implications.
  • Expert proficiency with a variety of testing tools.
  • Experience in ERP applications, Integrations, and mobile apps is highly desirable.
